Rules of the game

How is Swiss Lotto played?

Swiss Lotto is Switzerland's number lottery, run by Swisslos (German- and Italian-speaking Switzerland) and Loterie Romande (French-speaking Switzerland), drawn every Wednesday and Saturday. Since 12 January 2013, 6 numbers are drawn from 42, plus a Lucky Number from 1 to 6 that you choose yourself. One line costs CHF 2.50. Eight prize tiers: the jackpot goes to 6 matches + Lucky Number, 6 matches without the Lucky Number share CHF 1 million, and 5 matches without it pay a fixed CHF 1,000. Data: swisslos.ch (official winning numbers and prizes) since 2013. No guarantee.

How does the Lucky Number work?

The Lucky Number (1 to 6) is drawn separately; you choose it yourself on the play slip.
