Rules of the game

How is Texas Two Step played?

Texas Two Step is the Texas Lottery's small jackpot game, drawn every Monday and Thursday at 10:12 pm (Austin). You play 4 numbers from 35 plus a bonus ball from 1 to 35, drawn from its own drum, so it can match one of the main numbers. A play costs $1.50; the jackpot starts at $200,000. Seven prize tiers, from the jackpot (4 + bonus) down to the bonus ball alone ($5); every tier except the jackpot and 4 matches is a fixed amount. Data: official CSV export of the Texas Lottery (texaslottery.com), every draw since launch in 2001.

How does the Bonus ball work?

The bonus ball is drawn separately from 1 to 35 (its own drum); you pick it yourself.
