How is PowerBall XTRA played?
PowerBall XTRA (until June 2026: PowerBall Plus) is an add-on draw to SA PowerBall with its own balls, right after it every Tuesday and Friday. Same format (5 from 50 plus a PowerBall from 1 to 16), R5 extra per board. Data: BetTip (bettip.co.za), based on the draws published by the operator.

The PowerBall is drawn separately from 1 to 16; you pick it yourself.

What are the odds of winning?
The chance of the top tier (5 matches + PowerBall) is 1 in 33.900.160; the chance of winning anything is about 1 in 15. All tiers with their exact probability are on the Odds page.
