EuroMillions: AI prediction and backtest – what are "statistical" lines worth?
Due esperimenti onesti sulle estrazioni reali: confrontiamo giocate Quick Pick casuali con giocate "calde" costruite con i numeri più frequenti, e facciamo prevedere ogni estrazione a un algoritmo di apprendimento (k vicini più prossimi), usando sempre solo i dati noti prima dell'estrazione. Entrambi i metodi sono confrontati con l'attesa esatta del puro caso.
Backtest: giocate Quick Pick contro giocate calde (12 mesi)
For each of the 105 draws from 21/10/2025 to 20/10/2026, each group plays 10 lines: random Quick Pick versus lines built from the 15 most drawn numbers over the previous 100 draws. The Lucky Stars are random in both groups so that only the main numbers are compared. 1.050 lines per group in total.

Previsione IA (k vicini più prossimi)
Per ogni estrazione il modello cerca i 7 momenti passati le cui 3 estrazioni precedenti somigliavano di più a quelle attuali e gioca i numeri usciti più spesso subito dopo. Viene riapplicato dopo ogni estrazione e non vede mai il futuro. 300 estrazioni valutate dal 08/12/2023 al 20/10/2026.

Media: 0,490 punti per previsione – il caso ne dà 0,500.
Scarto rispetto all'attesa del caso: chi² = 0,34, p = 0,842. Il modello indovina esattamente quanto numeri scelti a caso.

How it works
A nearest-neighbour model looks for points in time whose last draws resembled the current ones and picks the numbers that followed most often. It is reapplied draw by draw without looking into the future; a backtest additionally compares Quick Picks with lines made of frequent numbers.
Example
For 5 from 50, 0,5 matches per line are expected on average; the model lands exactly there.
Limitations
No model can predict random draws. The page shows this transparently with a chi-squared test.
Frequently asked questions about this tool
- Can AI predict lottery numbers?
- No. With independent, uniformly distributed draws there is no pattern a model could learn.
