EuroMillions hot & cold numbers: ranking of numbers
All numbers, ranked by frequency over the last N draws. Each column is a draw (most recent on the left), a ball shows when the number was drawn; on the right, the number of times drawn. The darker the blue, the more frequent the number. Pure hindsight – the next draw is independent of it.
Classifica
Linee tratteggiate: valori attesi.
How it works
Choose N (e.g. 50) – all numbers are sorted by how often they appeared in the last N draws. Each column is a draw; clicking a date shows the ranks its winning numbers had. The scatter chart compares two periods, N and M.
Example
If the average rank of the winning numbers is close to the middle (25,5), the numbers came neither preferentially from the hot nor from the cold ones.
Limitations
Hot and cold numbers are purely a look back. Over many draws, the average rank of the winning numbers sits exactly at the value expected by chance.
Frequently asked questions about this tool
- Which N is the right one?
- None is better: a small N shows short-term fluctuations, while a large N converges towards the expected value.
- What does z mean in the pulse map?
- The z-score measures how far a number's frequency deviates from the expected value, in standard deviations.
